Inclusive employment coffee cart launches at Dudley Private Hospital
March 12, 2026
NDIS provider Wangarang has launched a new supported employment coffee cart at Dudley Private Hospital, creating fresh opportunities for people with disability while serving quality coffee to staff, patients and visitors.
Located in the hospital’s main foyer, the coffee cart will operate Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 11:30am. Trading hours may be extended in response to demand.
Wangarang Chief Executive Officer Chris Rawlins explained the initiative delivers both a valuable service and meaningful training and employment opportunities for participants.
“As Orange continues to grow as a modern regional city with a strong hospitality and tourism focus, it’s important that our participants gain relevant, real-world skills,” Mr Rawlins said.
“This initiative forms part of our 2030 strategy and includes working closely with Anson Street School, which also provides barista training opportunities for students.
Mr Rawlins said Wangarang’s successful Return and Earn program had already demonstrated the impact meaningful employment can have.
“It has delivered strong commercial results while breaking down barriers and building confidence for participants. It also shows our broader community what’s possible when people are given genuine opportunities.”
He encouraged the community to support the initiative.
“While this is a business, it is also an essential training platform,” Chris said. “I’d like to thank Dudley Private Hospital for partnering with us and helping bring this concept to life.
Dudley Private Hospital CEO, Jo Brown, said she was proud to support this initiative.
“Our hospital is a place of care, but it is also part of the community we serve, and initiatives like this create meaningful opportunities for people with disability to build skills and confidence in a real workplace environment,” Ms Brown said.
“Dudley Private Hospital and Ramsay Health Care are pleased to partner with Wangarang to support training and employment pathways while providing a great service for our staff, patients and visitors.”
