Frances Perry House has launched a new hotel partnership, offering new parents the chance to spend two nights at the Intercontinental Hotel, Rialto on Collins St in Melbourne to round out their maternity experience.
Frances Perry House CEO, Kerry May, said the new program was many months in the making.
“We have been working with our doctors, staff, and patients over the past year to design a hotel program that aligns with our strong focus on patient safety,” Ms May said.
“The beautiful and historic InterContinental Hotel, Rialto will allow parents and their new bub a quiet, comfortable place to bond before they head home. The program covers meals, valet parking, and a daily visit from a Frances Perry House midwife.”
Ms May said obstetrician and paediatrician consent was required before patients could be discharged for their hotel experience.
“The program is designed for patients who are safe to be discharged from our care. Mothers and babies requiring ongoing care from our nurses, allied health staff or doctors will remain with us here at Frances Perry House.”
