The new Ramsay Surgical Centre Cleveland has been established to meet increasing demand for healthcare across Brisbane's bayside, bringing a broad range of day surgery services closer to home for local patients. 

The hospital features three operating theatres, with capacity for a fourth in the future, together with access to onsite pathology, radiology and a general practice clinic. The facility will provide day surgery across specialties including endoscopy, orthopaedics, plastic surgery, urology, oral and maxillofacial surgery and gynaecology. 

An initial group of more than 25 specialists who practise at Greenslopes Private Hospital will also consult and operate at Ramsay Surgical Centre Cleveland, bringing the expertise of one of Queensland's leading private hospitals to the Redlands. This will provide local patients with greater access to specialist surgical care closer to home and reduce the need to travel into Brisbane for treatment. 

In addition to expanding surgical services, Ramsay Surgical Centre Cleveland is bringing artificial intelligence-enabled endoscopy technology to the Redlands. The hospital's new Olympus EVIS X1 system uses AI technology to help specialists detect lesions during procedures, while next-generation Mindray anaesthesia machines provide advanced monitoring and support during surgery. 

Ramsay Surgical Centre Cleveland Chief Executive Officer Justin Greenwell said the new hospital would help ensure local healthcare services kept pace with the needs of the growing community.

By investing in AI technology and next-generation equipment, we're ensuring local patients can access the same advanced care available at major metropolitan hospitals, without needing to travel into Brisbane," Mr Greenwell said.

The new hospital strengthens Ramsay Health Care's network across Queensland and reinforces the organisation's commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare closer to where people live.
