Ramsay Research Network Achieves Global Clinical Trial Quality Certification

May 20, 2026

The Ramsay Research and Development Network (RRDN), part of Ramsay Health Care, has been awarded the GCSA Global Quality Standard for Clinical Research Sites, recognising its commitment to delivering high-quality clinical trials across Australia.

The certification, awarded by the International Accrediting Organization for Clinical Research (IAOCR), confirms RRDN meets internationally recognised standards for clinical trial operations, governance, participant care, and research quality.

With more than 25 research sites nationally, RRDN is one of Australia’s largest private clinical trial networks, connecting patients with research opportunities closer to home while supporting the delivery of global studies.

Nicola Ware, Director of the Ramsay Research and Development Network, said the certification reflected Ramsay’s ongoing commitment to research excellence and reinforced its position as a trusted global research partner.

“Achieving GCSA Certification is an important milestone for our network and demonstrates our ability to deliver high-quality clinical trials at scale while maintaining a strong focus on participant experience and operational excellence,” Ms Ware said.

“The process has provided us with an internationally recognised framework to further strengthen quality, consistency and participant experience across our sites.

“This certification demonstrates our ability to deliver high-quality clinical trials at scale and positions Ramsay as a trusted partner for sponsors, researchers and participants both in Australia and globally.”

The certification aligns with updated international clinical research guidelines and reflects Ramsay’s focus on maintaining strong governance, workforce capability, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across the full clinical trial lifecycle.

By achieving certification, Ramsay joins a global community of independently assessed clinical research sites recognised for meeting best-practice standards.

Jacqueline Johnson North, CEO of IAOCR, said RRDN’s certification demonstrated its leadership in clinical research quality.

“RRDN’s certification demonstrates a clear commitment to quality and to being a partner of choice for clinical trials,” Ms Johnson North said.

“Ramsay Health Care is positioning itself at the forefront of global site excellence, strengthening sponsor confidence, enhancing participant experience, and reinforcing its reputation as a trusted global research partner.”

The GCSA Global Quality Standard was developed by IAOCR in consultation with sponsors, contract research organisations, research sites and government stakeholders to assess the operational and business systems critical to successful clinical trial delivery.

The certification process includes a structured review of research operations across areas such as study start-up, participant engagement, governance, workforce capability, and business sustainability.
